Tourists in Charleston, yummy dinner at Blossom. Veal Osso Bucco and Duo of Duck paired with a GSM Rhone clone from California.
Went and re-provisioned at Harris Teeter and the ABC shop at the Marina. Found a 12 year old Bowmore, 15 year old Dalwheenie and the standard Pyrat sipping rum. The wine shop at the Marina had a superb selection. Grange from 1998 and Elderton Command from 1997 coupled with a big section of Italian beauties from Tuscany and Piemonte. Being crispy cruisers and gainfully unemployed, we refrained from spending the cruising kitty on grape and decided to try out a 4 liter "Black Box" of Californian Merlot - I mean how bad can it be?
Miles was definetely wrong about the virtues of the fine varietal of Merlot.
