Thursday 12th November 2009, Still in Savannah GA (0 miles)

So we woke up to lots of wind (not from the local cuisine), ice bergs in the river and bleedin' penquins walking the docks and decided is was too cold and miserable to leave our cosy, rocky slip. Thankfully the sail boats due to arrive to take our spot this morning were still stuck in Charleston. The harbormaster granted the slip for another night and as we parted with the dough we decided to take advantage of the dry weather and go walk about. Boy is was cold, but it was dry.

Well off we went and followed our noses and got to see some more historical architecture and wonderful city planning. After several hours of strolling about we had worked up a fine appetite for Pot Roast and a pint of Guinness at the Six Pence Pub - yummy stuff.

We were running out of Savannah made movies and stumbled across a little DVD store, so I picked up The Prince of Tides for tonight's entertainment. (Jorgen's not going to like this chick flick), but it's all I could find.....

Here some more historic stuff

The Kehoe House, now an Inn at one point was a morgue........

SCAD - cool building

Let's grab some lunch......

I just need to make a quick phone call - and no Savannah is not a Ski Resort, it's just cold............

  1. Leave it to you to find an English Pub in Savannah! You know you are dedicated cruisers when, at the same time you are complaining about the cold, you post photos with Jorgen and you in shorts!!! Don't worry, you are headed for the sun while the rest of us are stuck here watching the water lap at our back porches in 60 knots of wind!
