Sunday 8th November Beaufort, SC mile 536 (31 miles

Easy day to Beaufort, pronounced “Bew fert”. We made it through Lady’s Island Bridge at 13:00 and secured Querencia at anchor in 27 ft of water (high tide) and mad current. Dinghied into to Beautiful Beaufort. What a great town, the houses and live oaks are mesmerizing .We walked for ages around the mansions that seemed to be built around the Spanish moss draped ancient trees and the locals are so friendly. Had a yummy libation and crab dip at Luther’s and spent the twilight zooming around Beaufort harbor out running the no see ums until well past sunset, who needs deet when you’ve got a dinghy! (with a Honda 20 hp ourboard, 22.1 knots, Dude.)
